The Medical Assistant Training Program provides graduates with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to qualify for entry-level positions as medical assistants. Provided that medical assistants are trained in both administrative and clinical procedures, students are capable of filling a variety of entry-level positions, including but not limited to clinical or administrative assistant, medical receptionist, and medical insurance billing specialist.

The Medical Assistant Program is a duration of six to nine months and consists of the Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy Technician, and Medical Assistant courses. After completing all of the courses, the student will be able to sit for the Medical Assistant examination for certification. In addition to the Medical Assistant exam, students can also sit for their CNA and Phlebotomy exam; however, these are optional. Remember, the exam fees are separate from the total tuition and are not paid to the school.
A $200 deposit will be required at registration and the remaining balance can be made in payments up until graduation.

Evening Classes: 5:30 PM to 9 PM
- Course Requirements:
To be accepted, applicants for the Medical Assistant Program must:
•
provide proof of completion of (GED, transcript, diploma,
home-schooling affidavit or other official documentation.
• provide proof of being at least 18 years of age (drivers license)
• not be listed as unemployable on the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR) and
• not have been convicted of a criminal offense listed in the Texas Health and Safety Code §250.00
